The two makeup staples I simply cannot do without are mascara and blush. These are must have items in my daily makeup routine. Mind you, I do not have a true "makeup routine" as in a whole routine of makeup added daily. I absolutely hate using foundation. It makes me hot and simply not necessary in my book. I also do not see a dire need to use concealer. I am a firm believer in the idea that if you keep your skin healthy and hydrate, concealer is simply not needed. My makeup routine consists of a couple simple things. I always use mascara primer, mascara, blush, brow gel and lip color. I like to keep it simple. Multitasking makeup is my all time favorite. I love when you can pick up one product and basically do your entire face with it. For this reason, blush is a true addiction of mine. i especially like cream blushes. I love to use my fingers when applying my makeup. I have as of lately discovered the beauty of using lipstick as blush! This is a great idea as you can keep the color palette consistent. My color of choice is always a bright pink. Looks ultra healthy on lips and cheeks. It is easy to blend and even easier to carry one item for retouching throughout the day. When applying your lipstick as blush you can either apply directly to your cheeks and blend out. or you can also apply to your fingers tips and dab gently to desired tone. Either way, you will certainly be surprised at how pretty the color ill look. This of course works best with either cream or matte formulas. You ca also go over the blush with a hint of powder color to add intensity and longer lasting color.

Spring makeup trends are all about bright color. Bright colors are all we have seen for the latest makeup trends. This means we can be as creative as we wish with our makeup pallets this season! Pinks, yellows, blues and greens are the latest craze and they certainly brighten up any outfit. From Dior, to Huda Beauty makeup is bright and colorful. Aqua blues, mint greens, bright yellows and pastels are creating the most romantic looks we have seen in a long time.

You may wonder, can I actually pull off this look? The answer is absolutely yes! Anyone can play with color. No matter what age, skin tone or occasion. Color not only brings out your eyes, but is creates a more youthful look. Just remember the rule of thumb! If you go bright with your eyes, go subtle with your lips. Too much is certainly too much, and you do not want to over do it.

Always interested in new beauty trends, we were excited learn more about lash perming and lash tinting. The idea of having darker and curled lashes without the need for mascara is amazing. Most of us would not dream of leaving the house without applying at least one quick swipe of our favorite mascara. Our lashes would simply feel naked without it on!

The process itself is amazingly fast and painless. Each step takes about ten minutes. The most uncomfortable part is you cannot open your eyes during the process, which means all you want to do is open you eyes! We tried to rest and take a small nap, as it was so peaceful.

The actual lash perming process involves applying a curling solution to your lashes. First they clean all makeup from your eyes and lashes. Next a rubber bumper "thing" (not really sure what it is) is placed above your top lashes. Once this piece is in place, the esthetician begins to apply the solution onto your lashes, wrapping them around the rubber bumper. this helps create the perfect natural curl without the need for an eye lash curler. Once ten minutes processing time is up, the esthetician cleans the solution from your lashes and removes the rubber bumper. You immediately see a beautiful and natural curl! It is quite satisfying to see how beautiful your lashes look naturally curled without the need for an eyelash curler. We were very happy with step one.

Next we tried lash tinting. This also takes about ten minutes. The esthetician places a cloth under your eyes to protect your skin from the color they are applying onto your lashes. Next the tint is swept onto your top and bottom lashes. Your eyes stay closed. Once ten minutes has passed, its time for a quick clean. We loved, loved, loved what I saw. Darker lashes that were a lot more noticeable.

Does this mean we will be throwing away our trusty mascara? Let's not get carried away. Lash perming and lash tinting won't create your mascara effect. You will still need to apply mascara for a truly vavavoom effect. However, you will be able to skip the eyelash curler for good !You will also have dark and curled lashes every morning and will have more noticeable lashes without any makeup. That is certainly a plus in our beauty book.

Do we think lash perming and lash tinting are a must try? YES! It is quick, It is not too expensive and you will certainly love the results.

Nothing says healthy more than a natural dewy glow. One of the biggest trends right now is a natural dewy flush. It is not only a sign of youth, but helps to brighten your entire face. You can easily create this effect with your favorite blush. This look can be achieved with both a cream or powder bush. All you need is a little vaseline and your favorite blush. We always recommend that you use a natural blush color. If you are fair skinned try a natural light pink or peach hue. For those with olive skin tones try either a bronze. If you have darker skin, you can try a deep pink hue. You want to create a natural flushed look, not a made up look. The attention should be on your entire face, not just your cheeks. Once you have your blush selected, remember to stick to the apples of the cheeks. Do not overdo it and add too much. Blush is meant to compliment your complexion and give you a boost of color. Once you have applied your blush, gently dab a little vaseline to the apples of your cheeks. Do this using your ring finger and gently tapping as you would apply your eye cream. The idea is to illuminate the cheeks and give them a natural glow. You will absolutely love the results. This is an easy hack to help get that perfect dewy glow that complete;y transforms your entire look.
