Makeup Tools include brushes, pencils, and sponges that help to better apply your makeup. Makeup Tools allow you to achieve greater coverage and a more dramatic makeup look. The most basic types of tools include powder brushes, foundations brushes, contour brushes, beauty blenders, eyeshadow brushes, lip brushes, and brow brushes.

Powder brushes are thick and full fiber. The fibers can be either natural or synthetic. Powder brushes are great because they can multi-task as a blush brush or bronzer brush. Foundation brushes are more tapered than your powder brush. They tend to be synthetic and flat to apply foundation liquid onto the skin smoothly. Contour brushes are angled and full fibered. The angles allow then to get into the corners of the face and create the perfect contour. Beauty blenders are also multi-tasking tools that can be used for foundation, blush, bronzer, concealer, and highlighter application. Beauty blenders are popular because they are a great tool to blend makeup into one another, creating a more natural, high coverage look. Blush brushes are similar to powder brushes, except they are smaller. Brow brushes have to sides; one has a brush to apply brow powder, the other end has a comb to help groom brows.

It is essential to maintain your makeup tools clean at all times. Brushes and sponges should be cleaned one to two times a month. To clean your makeup brushes, dip the brush end into water mixed with a gentle cleanser. Brish against a towel until all makeup is removed. Let the brush air dry. Regular cleansing of your makeup tools helps prevent bacteria, skin infections, and irritations.
